- Assess alleged damages/injuries; identify factors that caused or contributed to them.
- Identify, organize, and analyze pertinent medical records.

- Recommend additional records needed to complete case evaluation
- Identify tampering within medical records
- Identify case strengths and weaknesses
- Prepare chronology, timeline or other report of medical records highlighting the significant medical events and how they relate in the overall case analysis. The report format may vary by case and attorney preference
- Analyze hospital policies and procedures and interpret relevance to your case
- Research and apply authoritative medical and nursing literature and standards of care
- Identify adherence to and deviations from the applicable standards of care
- Attend and report on Independent Medical Examinations/Defense Medical Examinations
- Assist with preparation for and provide support during deposition, trial or ADR
- Identify and locate the best medical expert witnesses to strengthen the credibility of your case
